A Cello in the Rose Garden
On the 25th of May, for the Rome Prize (an international competition for all the best roses from all over the world), the Municipality of Rome decided to offer a concert for Cello and Harp in the wonderful Rose Garden in the very centre of the history of the city in Rome, during the blossom peak of this romantic flower.
The chosen repertoire included the masterpieces of the nineteenth Century and some less known but interesting pieces:
- F.Bellini – Notturno
- F.Schubert – Stanchen
- A. Zamara – Fantaisie Originale
- P. Tchaikovsky – Nocturne
- G. Fauré – Berceuse
- L. Tedeschi – Elegia
- M. Bruch – Kol Nidrei
- A. Zamara – L’Addio
The audience was amazed by the sound of this rare ensemble.
